School Advisory Council

Odyssey Middle School provides an atmosphere of academic and personal excellence and the curriculum to develop productive and responsible citizens of the future.

The School Advisory Council (SAC) is composed of interested staff, parents, and community members whose collective goal is to improve student achievement and facilitate the development of a supportive climate at our school. The SAC meets once a month to plan, develop, implement, and monitor the School Improvement Plan for Odyssey Middle School. Since this is our initial year, Odyssey will focus its school goals and improvement plan around the five supporting conditions listed below:

  • Odyssey Middle School will provide engaging and relevant instruction that promotes and enhances student achievement and meaningful involvement in the community;
  • Odyssey Middle School will create an environment that provides and facilitates the caring and nurturing of students;
  • Adults at our school and in our community will provide positive and appropriate relationships for students to feel connected to their school;
  • Odyssey Middle School will develop and implement policies and procedures that promote a student’s ability to succeed in school. These policies can include attendance, grading practices, student conduct, and GPA;
  • Odyssey Middle School will provide monitoring of student performance and make appropriate interventions to insure the success of our students.

SAC normally meets every 2nd Tuesday of the month, at 5:00 and PTSA 6:00PM in the Media Center.
